The week of Easter flew by with a bit of work and a chance to shoot at the Bethesda Cemetery in Aberdeen, NC. I do like shooting in old cemeteries for a few reasons. The hand carved headstones are true works of art. Seeing the names and dates etched into the granite after more than 200 years is a testament not only to the person the stone was created for, but also a testament to the artisan who created it. Seeing the way nature has aged and sculpted each stone adds to the original art, merging work the work of man and nature into its own sculpture.
Till the next shoot,
